If Hitler never threw his party, or something? 'Cus I do recall there was some pretty serious commie activity in Germany in the 20s and early 30s.

Yes, there was a great deal of Communist, Socialist, Social Democratic, Democratic Socialist, etc, etc in Germany at the time.

I was thinking more of a Victorian age POD, though. Germany seemed to be the nation destined to go Commie. It was industrial, young, and so forth, and Marx was a German.
